Located 25 miles northwest of Springfield on Interstate 44, Marshfield is a growing community of just over 7,000 people. Marshfield is not only known as one of the small towns you will stop in along Historic Route 66, but its primary claim to fame comes from Edwin Hubble, the inventor of the Hubble Telescope, who was born in Marshfield. Each spring, Marshfield hosts an annual festival, The Missouri Cherry Blossom Festival, a three day event that was featured on CBS. At the event you’ll hear speeches from U.S. Presidential descendants, while enjoying local foods, crafts, and activities for every age.
